NanaFormosa will take the Floating Town of Gad-Avia to Korea for a performance at the SNU Siheung Campus Exchange Concert, hosted by K-Music Makers.
The performance will include “The Day in Gad-Avia” as well as a percussion piece, “LYÉ-BUHL (1968),” created in collaboration with Korean musicians.
If you happen to be in Korea, you’re welcome to come and explore the full view of the town.

My trio "BLOOP" written for the wonderful Ensemble 20 degrés dans le noir will be performed on October 19, 20h at Le Pavillon de la Sirène in Paris, along with works by Klaus Lang, Sofia Avramidou, Sivan Cohen Elias, Edith Canat de Chizy, Julien Malaussena, Helmut Oehring/Mu-Xuan Lin.
Program Notes:
For the past few years I have been playing around with effect pedals and tape machines, and one of the pedals, Blooper, is based on the typical loop concept, but with each repeat that can be modified in various ways. Similarly with tape machines, as it records itself over and over again, the sound slowly decays, with added instability of noise and hiss. BLOOP, written for Bass Flute, Microtonal Accordion, and Violoncello, is very much based on the idea of loops, and how they can be transformed. The title refers to the Blooper pedal where the idea came from, and it’s literal meaning - short low-pitched noise. BLOOP was commissioned by Radio France for Ensemble 20° degrés dans le noir for the “Création Mondiale” program.
