The Guardians of the Marsh— the Agusanon-Manobo of the Philippines. Living in floating houses in the heart of the Agusan Marshlands, the Agusanon-Manobo have coexisted with time and tide guided by their ancestral knowledge— flowing within their community and with their ever-changing landscape. The climate crisis has exacerbated the wet and dry seasons through an unprecedented shift of extremes of both fire and flood, as droughts dry up the marshlands and invasive species of water hyacinths congest the tributaries and main waterways, which they have depended on with their livelihoods. We have forgotten, and maybe it is time that we remember — this flow — how we are all just flowing by. Featuring Bae Marites, Datu Boyet Reyes, PASu of Agusan, @mbtumarao ! It was my first time teaching photography and I feel extremely honored to have shared a huge part of me — my passion — to these young minds. Some of you know that I wouldn’t normally feel confident doing things like this, but I’m grateful to experience a 'first'. It definitely won’t be the last! Huge thanks to @issabarte.art for inviting me and giving me this opportunity to teach the kids back at Agusan Marsh! @insidenatgeo 📸@issabarte.art

Sulu holds a special place in our hearts. ♥️ Over the past two years, we’ve returned again and again — listening, learning, building friendships, and finding ways to support communities through a more holistic approach. From feeding programs and teacher training to conversations around school rehabilitation and livelihood opportunities, this journey has reminded us that meaningful change begins with trust, presence, and partnership. This is only the beginning, and we remain hopeful for what we can continue building together alongside the incredible people, educators, leaders, and families of Sulu. We also warmly invite fellow corporate foundations, organizations, and partners who may want to join us in supporting and uplifting communities in Sulu. There is so much we can accomplish together through collaboration, shared purpose, and long-term commitment. Maraming salamat, Magsukul tuud for welcoming us with such warmth, generosity, and hope. 🇵🇭 #JVRFoundation #Sulu #SharedProsperity #CommunityDevelopment

While chasing the perfect shot of the blood moon last night, I was reminded why I started photography. I had the perfect vision for the shot I wanted. I thought everything was aligning to the dot, but as soon as the moon showed up, all my plans started to fall apart. So I adjusted. I found a new angle. And then something better happened. Students and passersby started to ask if they can see the moon through my camera. I was hesitant because time was running out, but after watching their faces light up, some seeing a blood moon for the first time, reminded me why I started photography in the first place. It’s not about the perfect shot but sharing the moment. Thank you @thebayleafhotels for accomodating my last-minute request to set up on the Skydeck despite having a full sunset dinner. shot on @sonyphinc a7iv 200-600mm #bloodmoon #eclipse #🌕 #manila #philippines
