We’re delighted to announce Lex Lang as a speaker for our AI for the Next Generation Conference with Bedford School.
Lex Lang is Deputy Head - Innovation and Partnerships at Caterham Prep School and IAPS Subject Adviser for Computing, Partnerships and Digital Innovation. With more than twenty years of experience across state and independent sectors, Lex leads whole-school approaches to digital strategy, innovation culture, and the thoughtful integration of new technologies into teaching and learning.
Lex’s work frequently explores how emerging technologies can meaningfully support and transform pedagogy. Since the arrival of the new generation of AI tools in 2022, he has been looking in particular at the potential uses and impacts of AI systems, developing and leading research into how 1:1 student access to classroom AI can change feedback, independence and lesson design.
As a founding member of the IAPS Digital Advisory Team, Lex works with schools across the country, helping them to shape sustainable digital transitions, strengthen staff confidence and build future-ready school cultures. Lex regularly speaks and advises on innovation, digital strategy and the changing landscape of classroom practice.

📚Our second IAPS Prep Teaching and Learning Festival, hosted at Dragon School, Oxford on Saturday, was a resounding success!
It was a pleasure to welcome 160 educators and exhibitors to share ideas, challenge thinking, and celebrate excellent practice across the Prep sector.
The day buzzed with two inspiring keynote sessions, one from Hilary Cremin and the other Mini Grey, a fascinating panel discussion featuring Emma Goldsmith and Ian Van Every from Dragon School and Noel Neeson from The Blue Coat School, and a range of engaging seminars spanning executive functioning, oracy, critical thinking, challenge in Maths, outdoor and character education, resilience and future‑ready curriculum design.
Delegate feedback captured the energy perfectly: “I have had the best day!” “I feel so inspired.” “I have met some brilliant people.” Returning attendees shared that “Our colleagues came back last year raving about it so we had to come”, while others were already planning ahead: “We need to bring all our staff next year.”
Thank you to Holroyd Howe for a delicious lunch, our wonderful exhibitors and to everyone who made the day such a success.

🌍 We can’t wait for our 'Geography: Curious by Nature - exploring your environment through fieldwork' course later this month at Beeston Hall School!
The day will begin with Peter King, IAPS Subject Adviser for Geography, leading a session on inspiring curiosity, followed by a talk from Alan Parkinson, Head of Geography at King’s Ely Prep and Vice President: Education at the Royal Geographical Society, on curriculum development. Peter will then lead a second session to share practical strategies for maximising learning for all.
In the afternoon, Jon Cannell, Primary Curriculum Leader at the Geographical Association, will lead a hands‑on fieldwork session, exploring how to make the most of your local area.
