Don't worry there are always more.
1) Cheap. On-demand. GPU Clusters. (As an English major I have some issues with this one. Remember "Eats. Shoots. Roots. And leaves"? I tip my hat to whomever named your company, though. Looking back from the future I think this will be one of my favorites.)
2) "Hire the best talent." (No mention of whether they're human, LLM, or dolphin though)
3) "How AI is Rewriting Trust" (AI seems to be rewriting a lot these days!)
4) "From AI pilot to we should've done this sooner." (In Sam Altman's words: “In my little group chat with my tech CEO friends, there’s this betting pool for the first year that there is a one-person billion-dollar company. Which would have been unimaginable without AI and now will happen.")
5) "Turn AI into ROI" (And this, dear friends, is the big collectively held breath right here)
6) "Powering 78% of the Forbes AI 50" (I'll always have a soft spot for whatever goes up on this board... it's the former site of Yahoo's neon motel-style billboard, which went up in 1999, ie the gold-rush equivalent of 1849. Shovels and picks back then, backend payment processing now. Dirty hands = honest money. Am'I'right?)
7) Ignore the Quincy and the "Hate reviewing AI code" (which have already appeared in this pages) and focus instead on the person wondering how to lift weights. This billboard brings me right back to that time 6 weeks ago when I used ChatGPT to fix my shower and ended up showerless for 8 days while visiting 5 different hardware stores and calling a plumber after following the confident and certain steps outlined by ChatGPT promising me that all I needed was this one specific cartridge and boy was it wrong!)

It's been a minute for me and you but nothing and/or everything in AI time (ask your favorite LLM about how it experiences time... one of my favorite conversations to have with a computer!) -- ANYhow here's another roundup of PDA (public displays of AI):
1) "Goodbye missed calls. Hello AI Receptionist" (cue the robo-call to robo-receptionist! Finally we can just never talk to anyone real again)
2) "Meet your AI team" (really stoked for the watercooler talk with this bunch!)
3) "AI Interviewers that candidates love" (just really think about this one, please. The AI outbound SDR gets a hold of your AI Receptionist to recruit you to the AI team and boy howdy you're going to just "love" it!)
4) "Are your APIs ready for AI agents?" (bless these folks for running a steady campaign for a couple months now)
5) "#1 AI Video Platform for Business" (AI Feelies are promised next quarter)
6) "Run AI Code." (...And see what happens...)
7) "FLY with Neubird" (hello AI SRE! we are SO close to self-regulating self-creating self-servicing self-diagnosing self-replicating self-defending self-ish self-hood AI that my carbon-based neurons are twinging with self-realization of an impending self-obsolescence!)

I take so many (hundreds and hundreds) of photos that I never share with anyone. They're too personal, too monochromatic, too outside-a-project, too much work, and mostly too small on a screen to enjoy in the way I'd like them to be enjoyed.
Thankfully there still exist awesome photo exhibitions and I am super proud to have five photos selected for this year's "Something Personal" show in San Francisco, hosted by the APA.
None of these are those five photos. Those five have been masterfully printed by @dickermanprints and framed by @bobscustomframing and will be hanging up among so many other amazing images at @leftspace studios at the @apasanfrancisco party extravaganza this Friday, December 5, from 5pm - 9pm.
It'd be swell to see you there. You can get tickets over on the @apasanfrancisco page. Come drink some bubbly (water or wine) and mingle with cool people and maybe take home some art for the holidays.
From grief to acceptance. MORE ai ads -- street level edition. Still lovingly photographed on 35mm film so at least there will be one hard copy after all our 1s and 0s are turned into paperclips.
(1) "Run AI code. In 100,000 sandboxes." (because it's all still just a game).
(2) "Ava never wants to become an AE." (But... Sam Altman promised we'd have billion dollar companies run by one person and a bunch of ai agents...! Maybe Ava should set her sights a little higher).
(3) "Listen to humans. Don't replace them." (Quaint. But a little late).
(4) Artisans won't get caught on the kiss-cam with HR. (I know I posted a different sighting of this one. Ava is making lofty promises here!)
(5) Bringing the world's knowledge, stories, and agents to life. (Repurposing all of humanity's greatest achievements and monetizing it for private gain).
(6) "Kubernetes wasn't built for inference." (Are you kubernete curious?)
(7) And if you can't beat'em, join'em!! The SF Public Library picks Dr Li's memoir about computer vision and AI breakthroughs as this year's One-City-One-Book. I am reading it. I recommend it. It's wonderful.
(8) And the Academy of Art's school of photography just hosted the first AI Photography Show. I also support this. Don't cry for me, darkrooms and fixer. The future is wide open.
(9) "Humanity had a good run." (Succinctly put. I respect that.)

Washer-Dryer Combo with AI integration, Best Buy sales floor, Colma CA.
Samsung says: "AI Opti Wash & Dry™ detects soil level and fabrics adjusting settings as needed during the cycle to deliver a better wash and dry. (Fabric sensing operates for 8 pounds and under. Based on AI algorithm using IEC 8 pounds load. Results may vary.)"
Google AI overview adds that "models learn your laundry choices and can suggest optimal cycles based on your past habits and general user data."

(1) Guido Reichstadter on day 10 of his hunger strike in front of Anthropic's San Francisco HQ.
(2) Anthropic AI makes Claude, my favorite LLM. I particularly like talking to claude about cosmology and the human experience of the passage of time. Claude told me that there's a 75%-95% likelihood that AI will cause the end of human civilization in the next five years.
