Another interpretation of ‘News from nowhere’ by William Morris. He was more about revolution than nice wallpaper, check out this visionary novel from 1890

Thank you @southsquarecentre for sponsoring the Thornton Art Trail. Your very generous donation has helped us pay for flyers and advertising. We are so grateful and looking forward to seeing fabulous art all around the village and in your studios.
South Square Centre is a community venue providing a programme of art exhibitions, artist studios, workshops for families & communities and a vegetarian cafe. It’s a must see in Thornton and has a constant flow of activities. Check out more about them as there’s always a wealth of interesting programmes going on.

Such an uplifting gig with this band last Saturday. A room full of smiling, dancing people.
The most cheering and applause ever. It actually made me feel shy to receive it. Also the first time I’ve ever got my sound right onstage for a gypsy gig.
What a nice room for an old (ish) guitar player to be in.
On Saturday the 16th of May you’ll find us at @sevenartsleeds at 4pm in the bar. Dance if you want to.
Another #collage inspired by the novel News from Nowhere by William Morris

I just finished reading ‘News from nowhere’ by William Morris when I came across a luxury interior decor shop selling mainly ‘Morris’ wallpaper at huge prices. How he would have despaired, this is so far from his vision of art for all. I’m carrying optimism for a different world with this set of NewsFrom Nowhere inspired collages

Second in a series of collages inspired by News From Nowhere, the wonderful positive futuristic novel from 1890 by William Morris.

Bread and roses
Just read ‘News from nowhere’ by William Morris. His 1890 vision of a potential future where all people have agency in their lives and community collectivism creates a compassionate world is breathtaking . This is the first in a series of collages referencing his work. It will be heading to the walls of Bradford streets soon

Another sketchbook collage made from old flyers on location at @trapeziumarts while invigilating for the last time. Be sure to come to the final exhibition in May and celebrate seven years of a volunteer run gallery. And come on landlords, give us a new space, we don’t need empty shops

Turn up in May to say see some great art and say a hopefully temporary goodbye to @trapeziumarts .
The artist volunteer led gallery has illuminated central Bradford for the past 7 years , given people like me great opportunities. Here’s a collage I made from old flyers while invigilating last month
