The song is about grief, awe, and bargaining with God (so, the usual). I think it tells a story a lot of us can identify with: recognizing the unstoppable march of time unfold within our lives and bodies and appreciating how powerless we are to protect the people we love from its consequences. A fun silly birthday song/ nothing too heavy.
