Asked the owner what was good and in broken English he said “fried pig” so I thought he meant the fried pigs foot and ordered that (it was fine). Turned out he meant the Tonkastu (which was very good) - Tayu Tayu Kushiyaki Yakitonya, Osaka 10: Whale shark latte 😦- Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan 11: Wagyu Shabu Shabu - Osaka 12 & 13: Western-ass but good-ass breakfast - Maze Cafe, Osaka 14: Takoyaki! - Dotonburi area, Osaka 15: Some of the best mf meat of my life - Yakiniku MIYABI, Osaka 16: More macarons- Dotonburi area, Osaka 17: Soba - Nara 18: Tore through another Izakaya. I am a menace - Osaka 19: Train station sushi and onigiri - Shinkansen, Somewhere between Osaka and Tokyo 20: Ran into someone familiar on my last night while trying to eat this strawberry mochi thing - Tokyo I miss the food already. I miss Izakayas 😭

I hope you enjoyed #Smosh20YearsIn20Days because in many ways, it’s a chronology of my adult life. Obviously I wasn’t able to credit every single person who made Smosh into what it was or what it became, but I hope I was able to show that Smosh’s success was only possible with the hundreds of talented people who believed in and cared about the success of Smosh over these 20 years. But more importantly, the success of Smosh wouldn’t have been possible without you. I have so much gratitude for the viewers who supported us in the beginning, the ones who bought our first merch, challenged us to be funnier, supported the first cast members, shared smosh with their friends and family, made fan art and sent us weird stuff in the mail, showed up to our live shows, said hi to us at VidCon, contributed to our various social media communities, donated to our charity fundraisers, listened to our podcasts, shared how Smosh touched them, and of course the people who just plain casually watch Smosh. Day 20/Year 2024 of #Smosh20YearsIn20Days This feels like it was yesterday! Super solid year. Here’s some stuff that happened -Smosh: The Sitcom Live was wild. We built a whole sitcom set and performed a wild scripted parody of sitcoms with a bunch of surprises and improv moments. We learned a lot shooting this one and hope to take those things we learned into a future show. -Smosh Reads Reddit Stories absolutely exploded this year. In 2024, it was the 9th most-streamed podcast in the US on Spotify, and one of the most listened-to podcasts globally. Big thanks to Shayne, Emily Rose, Bailey, and Kiana for making it the show it is today. -Shayne and Court’s April 1st marriage announcement 😩 -Bit City begins! -We made “Submissive and Breedable”with bbno$ after Anthony joked that I was looking submissive and breedable on a Smosh Main member’s livestream. Then we thought it would be funny to do a song about how you’re either “submissive and breedable” or “dominant and infertile”. Once we got into studio with bbno$, we threw out the second piece and went all in on Submissive and Breedable. -What else did I miss from this year? Did you enjoy my photo series? I’m so done with posting on social media this consistently, how the hell do y’all do this every day???

Day 19/Year 2023 of #Smosh20YearsIn20Days WE BOUGHT SMOSH AAAAAAAHHHH! -Going into 2023, before Anthony came back, smosh was not doing well. I felt our content was in the right place, but the eyeballs just weren’t there. It felt like no matter what we did, a lot of our content wouldn’t reach outside our sphere. As a result, we were going to have to make some very difficult decisions unless we were able to turn things around. I had this idea in the back of my head as a Plan C of “What if Anthony and I bought smosh back” but it seemed completely out of the realm of possibility, and I didn’t even know if he’d be interested. When Anthony and I finally talked about it, he told me HE WAS THINKING THE SAME THING. We set to work in secret with Mythical and put together a plan for us to buy it back. Rarely do deals like this end with all parties happy, but I really think we reached a deal that benefits everyone. Major credit goes to Rhett and Link for being so open to this. This wouldn’t have been possible without them. -I told Anthony that once we closed the deal we would need to celebrate with a big fat cigar, so that is the reason for that cigar photo. (I’m anti-cigarette, but a cigar here and there for special occasions, I do) -A big thanks to the cast and crew for riding the crazy rollercoaster that was 2023 with us. A big thank you to Daniel Tibbets who kept the ship afloat with me up to this purchase. -I had hoped this big announcement of Anthony coming back would bring the eyeballs back on the content, and it absolutely did. Viewers came back and found this incredible cast that was so locked in to the content we were making, and they stayed. So a big thank you to the cast, the producers, and the returning viewers who gave us a second chance. -2023 was the hardest year of my life, for business and private reasons. I’ll never forget this year, but I’d like to not go through this whirlwind again 😅
