2009 - When I walked into the University of Oklahoma wrestling room under @bodaciousbull_ I was 17 years old, fat, tan and hungover. The reality of D1 wrestling quickly set in and Sammie would remind me “you ain’t in California anymore Daube”. Being thrown in the deep end is an understatement. If you don’t know the reputation of Sammie Henson aka The Bull… I’ll summarize my experience- everyday I was just trying to not to quit or cry. I managed not to quit. @tcaldwell165 would break me daily. I’m grateful for that year wrestling under Sammie and with Tyler. I learned a lot from Sammie, my two favorite lessons being “find a way” (which often included a thumb in the eye, or starting before the whistle blew) and “if you’re tired, pretend you’re not”. I can go on for days about that year. I’ll share one classic Henson practice. He walks in, starts the clock, says grab a partner, “now go until someone gives up”. Those practices usually ended with a few people unconscious, myself included, compliments of a Caldwell rear naked choke. #youaaintcheatingyouainttrying #BBBCPB #TheBull @ou_wrestling #boomersooner
Highlights from 2024 @ibjjf NoGi Worlds. 7 matches (6-1) total. Took second at my weight and won the absolute division at purple belt.
Lost to @brandonreed3x at ultra-heavy, congratulations champ. We left it all out there but I came up short. Separate video on that match coming next.
Couldn’t have done any of this without the support of my family, wife, friends and coaches. In fact, there’s so many people I have to thank, we’ll also have a separate video just for that.
For now, enjoy the action and thanks for watching. Grateful to have the opportunity doing what I love.

After hanging up on @alex_tavs lawyer, I decided to take the high road and release the AI rendering what what Alex wishes had happened rolling with me.
Please note: This content was created with AI and I’ll sue you if you share it. Thank you.
The most casual finish from a hip to hip on a 2 on 1 Russian tie.
So simple… makes you question what else you’re missing that’s hiding in plain sight.

Jason is one of the best wrestling coaches out there and we are lucky to have him here in San Diego… makes it a lot easier to steal his techniques.
Give him a follow and check out the full practice at the @americanstrengthandcombat YouTube channel.
2 years and 9 months since I first competed at jiu jitsu.
In that time- over 70 matches, quit my job, catastrophic injury, my kids started training and now opening a gym.
Life moves fast and when it’s my time, I’ll be able to say I gave it all I had. Go give it all you got.
Full vlog dropping tomorrow at the @americanstrengthandcombat YouTube channel.
