Making Sunday gravy on a Wednesday because we missed this past Sunday (Papa had to close), work in the industry and it’s St. Patrick’s day weekend. Usually we go with beef/pork meatballs and eat it a few times throughout the week with pasta or some bread, but changed it up with some Italian sausage and pork neck bones (they aren’t expired we froze them c’mon). My dad says nothing flavors the gravy like neck bones, the shaking the water in the paste thing is an all time Jack Jambrone staple too

It’s been one whole year since we were able to hold your hand as you laid there helpless. We had our issues as I grew up (sorry I was in Iowa city for close to a decade), but nobody cared more about Becca and I than you. You’d be so proud to know that I didn’t end up needing to use grandmas old ring for LB like you offered almost immediately after meeting her, she gets to wear yours every day. You’d be proud of the whole family, we all had some growing up to do without you and it’ll never be the same. Dad’s doing great, he’s bored (he was bored before you died it’s not your fault) but he’s a great grandpa to Charli and was the life of the party at my wedding. It hasn’t gotten any easier without you and I don’t think the void can ever be filled. Hope you’re enjoying heaven, singing songs with the Beatles and Elvis, and watching over all your knucklehead family, nieces and nephews, besties, and doggies. Thank you for showing me what true love really is, please continue to look over my family as this year we hope to build on what already is a beautiful life.
