There are some people you admire for what they doā¦ and then there are some you admire for who they are, even when no oneās watching.
Watching him over the years, it was never just about the runs or the wins. It was the calm in chaos, the way he carried responsibility without making noise about itā¦ the way he could be everything at once .. a leader, a father, a husband, and still hold on to that light, almost childlike side of him.
Somewhere along the way, it stopped being about the game for me. It became about the kind of person I want to grow into. The way he shows upā¦ quietly, consistently, giving his best without asking for attention ..that stays with you.
You donāt just watch someone like thatā¦ you learn from them, you feel them, and a part of you wants to become a little like that too.
