I had the incredible honor of anchoring the Opening Ceremony of the Futures Literacy Laboratory, held under the Anticipatory Governance and Foresight Capacity Programme scheduled to run from November 2025 through April 2026. It was a truly transformative gathering one that brought together visionary minds, policy shapers, innovators, and young leaders committed to reimagining Nigeria’s future.
From the moment the programme commenced, the atmosphere was charged with possibility. The conversations were bold, the perspectives refreshing, and the collective energy unmistakably centered on building a Nigeria that is not only prepared for the future, but actively shaping it. Being at the forefront of such an important milestone one that aligns foresight, governance, youth empowerment, and national development was a privilege I do not take lightly.
One of the most captivating highlights of the day was the panel session on “The Future of Workforce Development.” The dialogue was rich and insightful, featuring brilliant experts in people transformation, entrepreneurship, and tech innovation. Their reflections on skills evolution, digital transformation, inclusive opportunities, and the shifting nature of work offered powerful takeaways for everyone in the room. It was a reminder that the future of Nigeria’s workforce is not something to wait for it is something we must actively design with intention, creativity, and resilience.
