I'll be joined by @jonnysimon.wav who is seriously lovely. We played together at the Cav earlier this year and I fell for him a bit - imagine Charlie from Busted if he was into Bon Iver and D'angelo rather than post-hardcore.

To cap off a wonderful year pretty much entirely consumed by writing and recording album 2 I did a session to celebrate baby Toronto which reached 10 million streams not long ago. I've been wanting to do a live session with the band for ages so I'm glad we got a chance to make it happen and commemorate a special milestone at the same time.

My final weekend of recording with the band for album 2.
We started these sessions in the Summer so it's been a lot of hard work. There have been some stand out moments like going to Abbey Road but last weekend was up there. Lots of trying things on the fly and amazing contributions from my ever-excellent band @alexblease@may.kolta and @greg.hummell , my friends @paoloruiumusic , Seth, Tom and Will who added keys, clarinet, sax and oboe to some songs and lastly the super prod. duo @marmelc and @jamesbrennan.wav . It's made me so happy to see this album grow beyond my bedroom demos and imagination. There's still some work to do to get it over the line but I'm really excited to share it with you next year x

I appreciate the collaboration aspect of writing a lot lately. Feels nice to get out of my own head sometimes and I'm lucky to have such brilliant artists and musicians around to help me do that.
Autumn is tied with Spring as my favourite season to write so here's hoping I finish strong for album 2 x
