📣UPDATE FOR OUR SHOW ON 1/30📣 After deep consideration and consultation between performers and workers, we have decided to shift our approach to the show on Friday night. Our hope is to act in line with the calls for a service worker’s strike, support Mainers in need, and execute Blue’s mission as a non-profit community arts organization to facilitate, participate in, and chronicle community-building events in the arts. On Friday, 1/30 @blueportlandmaine will donate all proceeds from the bar to @mainesolidarityfund . We’ll ask for a $20 donation at the door to support Blue’s work as a non-profit community arts organization, and we’ll pass the hat to support performers. We hope our supporters and community can collectively hold outrage towards ICE, love for our neighbors, and the truth that bills are due at the end of the month. The affordability crisis we are living through and ICE’s presence in our city share the same roots. We’re living through hard times together and doing hard work together. It’s moments like this where community gathering spaces are needed most and where resistance music needs to be heard. We hope to see you on Friday!

Grateful to have another song out in the world today after holding onto it for so long. These past couple years have been challenging for me creatively at times, and this is another piece of the larger project that I’ve been working hard to bring to fruition through a lot of of ups and downs. I’d really like to roll things out a lot faster but here we are. I’m just happy to share this song which has meant a lot to me. Thank you so much to @kevinbillingslea for engineering, producing and refining this song so beautifully, and for not accepting anything but the best shit i could do haha. Those sessions were an amazing learning experience for me and I’ll never forget It. Also thank you @evankesel for being the best fucking drummer in the solar system, and to @austinhull23 for the amazing mix and for getting this song to where it needed to be after I wrestled with it for so long.
