Dear Universe, I want to thank you 🙏🏾. Two weeks ago, I began an adventure with incredible humans. Tough Mudder is central to my life. Everyone with me came from that era or understood community and camaraderie. Nick Artis encouraged me to do my first World’s Tough Mudder in 2019. I remember him running while I struggled to walk. I dreamt of running beside him someday. Seeing athletes achieve similar feats changed my perspective. Universe, you gave me that full-circle moment of keeping up. I understand your path and meet it gladly. Running with Heather, Trish, Travis, and Alex, I’ve seen them pursue greatness with grit, grace, and kindness. My last World’s was in 2024, and Jess Johnson was there for me even when I wasn’t for myself. This was another full-circle moment—understanding what family truly is. Universe, I’m grateful to have met my favorite uncle Jesse, Cory, who was a bright light and brought good vibes. Seeing him run with us was a treat. Bringing CP into my life as he faced challenges felt like watching my 30-year-old self grow. We faced hardships, joys, and growth as a team. The bonds I formed are real. Each Muppet brought something special, and I’m honored to witness it. Introducing The Speed Project into my life felt right. Embracing No Spectators made me more genuine. I was often asked, “Who are you?” and I never had an answer without talking about what I have. Connecting with Jarick, Nils, Wil, Tam, and Scotty gave me the answer I always had inside. I’m grateful for their journeys. The greatest gift Universe gave me was one I didn’t think I could handle. I kicked and screamed, but you pushed me forward. Thank you for everything. I trust and believe in what you’ve given. More work lies ahead; the journey isn’t over. Peace is found in the work. After some asked how I felt, I said, “The Rainbow Connection. This is my Kermit moment.” I’ll keep seeking moments like these. So, Universe, watch over the Muppets and those I’m connected to. Cover those I’ve yet to meet. For the past 40 years, I have seen and idolized characters from TV shows, hoping their viewpoints would lead me down my path. Leaving NYC has been the hardest decision of my life. If it had not been for the connections and awakenings, I would still be stuck watching and not participating. THIS IS MY STORY and ADVENTURE!!! My grandma gave me a hat like this when I was younger because I told her I wanted to be @indianajones . Never did I think, 30+ years later, that I would not only fall in love with a shoe about adventure but also be able to live my own. Stepping into my fear rather than letting it consume me. Finding my smile rather than hoping something will make me laugh, and connecting with my @themuppets instead of wishing it were true. I paint with everything because life is about exploration, not just in the physical world but in WHO WE ARE. I grew up doing martial arts, but never understood what love is. LOVE is the expression of one’s soul in the physical. LOVE is what connects us to life. It’s what keeps us present. It is what gives us hope that we will have what we deserve. Art is love expressed, and we all do it in how we dress, talk, sit, and connect. There have been many years I have abused that because I wasn’t centered in myself. Craving the external because internal spiritual pressure was too much. We ALL are martial artists balancing the LOVE in our 💜. It just takes going on the adventure to understand WHO WE ARE.
