How To Disappear Completely has always been a Radiohead song I’ve been able to embody, as a vocalist. In a lot of ways, Thom Yorke taught me how to become the singer I am today. I learnt how he expresses a wide variety of emotion through the timbre and grit of the voice. There was a time where I received criticism for just how much I sounded like Thom, and even though I’ve come a long way in finding my own voice, some Radiohead songs just bring the Thom out of me, and this is one of them! Tomorrow I’ll be playing my first show in Bristol at To The Moon, 7pm onwards, £3 tickets. This is a new song.. no name yet. I’ve been exploring somatic healing and trauma work recently, and it’s absolutely blown my socks off. Until we invite our repressed feelings forward, to be felt fully, it seems we will continue to be triggered, continue to be fearful, shameful, angry and more.
