365 days without you Daddy ā¦
So much has happenedā¦ I became a mom. We closed the store. Emptied our childhood home and Rented what felt like 100 uhauls to make your dreams come true.
The last day of emptying the house this song came on and it was raining. All I remeber is weeping at the trunk of the uhaul thinking about how your dreams still come true even if youāre not here.
This is my grief song. The song that makes me think of you and cry like no tomorrow. And I do ā¦ I cry like my world has ended because in many ways it did.
But you being my father means I have to honour your daughter. I have to be good to myself because you would never want me to so devastated and sad . You couldnāt stand it.
Being your daughter means honouring your children and your wife. It means keeping promises no matter how hard. It means being the calm in the storm and being a rock to my loved ones.
Being your daughter means trying to be the best mom, aunt and human I can be. Honouring those around me and my surroundings.

You would have been 71 today. We all miss you terribly. Today I donāt get to spoil you or give you hugs and kissesā¦ instead Iām lost in moments of grief and sweet memories. I miss your laughter and your presence. I miss our conversations and especially your voice. I miss your protection and how you would look at me. I miss your handsome smile. I miss every part of you.
