We’re excited to announce the return of BBC 1Xtra DJ Edu and Seani B to Africa Oyé Festival 2026!
As well as their main stage sets, both @iamdjedu (Saturday) and @seanibremix (Sunday) will be performing headline slots on the DJ stage, a special opportunity you don’t want to miss!
Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Edu was voted the Best Kenyan DJ in the UK in 2004, which kick started his life-long ambition to put the latest and greatest sounds produced by Africa’s new generation on the global map.
Via his BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra platform, Edu has been able to break some of the biggest names on the global African music scene in the UK. Including K’Naan, Nneka, Akon and many more.
Born in London, Seani B has taken the cosmopolitan surroundings he grew up in and incorporated them into his unique musical blend. From Dancehall to Hip Hop, R&B to House and even Soca to Rock.
The world’s leading dancehall and reggae DJ, his weekly BBC 1Xtra show is the most listened to specialist programme on the network, as well as having amassed over 90 million views for his sessions from Jamaica.
