The work ‘Trinity’ suggests a multiplicity of meanings that enrich the viewer's experience, simultaneously promoting a connection with the memory of a place, with its own history and identity, contemporary interaction and dialogue between past and present. Thus, Aires' proposal not only occupies the space, but also revitalises it, respecting its history and symbolism, while introducing new perspectives that allow visitors to get involved in a stimulating way. The immersive approach, which is inspired by the profound and ambiguous exchange between spirituality and the rawness of war, emphasises the sensory experience and perception of space, allowing visitors to understand and experience the site in a more meaningful and in-depth way. Spanish artist Carlos Aires was born in Ronda in 1974. After completing a degree in sculpture from the University of Granada in 1997, he moved to Holland and completed his postgraduate studies at the Fontys Academy (Tilburg, Holland), HISK (Antwerp, Belgium), and Ohio State University (USA), after which he returned to Spain. He currently lives and works in Madrid. Carlos Aires is the author of a multifaceted body of work, in which he often uses everyday objects (old vinyl records, plates, banknotes or coins, among others) to form detailed compositions presented on various supports. With his research, Aires explores the human perception of reality and develops an aesthetic of ambiguity, portraying an uncomfortable truth through aesthetically elaborate and attractive images.

Sagrada Familia - Barcelona. Gaudi’s Masterpiece he never saw finished. Final completion estimated for 2030. It honestly felt like walking into science fiction. Truly inspiring.!
