I just walked through the vaults of one of the most powerful diamond nations on earth.
Private access. Botswana’s natural diamond industry.
I visited the Okavango Diamond Company, DTCB, and Jwaneng Mine. “The King Mine,” the single richest diamond mine in the world by value. And I sat across the table from His Excellency, President Duma Boko

But none of this happened by accident.
For decades, we’ve had the privilege of helping shape global luxury jewelry and timepiece culture, pioneering RED GOLD, developing and branding amber hue gold into a worldwide sensation, and working alongside the Diamond Trading Company, the World Gold Council, and PlatinumGuild International to move markets and shape taste globally.
We also helped transform “bling” from a street culture expression into a globally respected luxury category, embraced by celebrities, Athletes, executives, and tastemakers across every continent.
That platform built credibility. That credibility opened doors.
When Nigeria called, we helped bring International visibility to its Mineral resources through my global luxury network. Access to Africa’s music economy, where alongside
@snoopdogg ,
@iambangalee @donjazzy and we helped amplify Afrobeat to the global audience it now commands.
Botswana took notice.
What moved me most was not natural diamonds. It was the vision.
Botswana is rich in more than diamonds, in leadership, discipline, innovation, and strategic thinking.
This nation has turned mineral wealth into institutional excellence.
The world once came to Africa to extract. The opportunity now is to build, in partnership, with vision, and for the long term.
I know the next chapter of global luxury, culture, and commerce will be written, in significant part, from this continent.
I’d love to hear from you. What do you believe is Africa’ single greatest untapped opportunity right now, in business, culture, or investment?
