Right before my eyes, like a dream, I took you to the hospital for a check-up. I watched as your strength slowly faded.
I stepped out for a moment to get your meal. It felt as if you were in a hurry to leave, yet didn’t want me to witness the moment. Just before I walked back into the ward with your food, you took your last breath.
Trying to stay calm, I called the doctor on duty. They performed CPR, but you had already slipped away, resting peacefully.
Even now, it is hard for me to believe that you would not be coming back home.

Today, friends and family came from far and within to pay their last respect to a man of honor, Late Papa Abang Ojie Ekpong who was laid to rest at his hometown Ekumtak Mbube.

Today, I joined colleagues and well-wishers to bid a heartfelt farewell to the Late Henry Emeka Otom, beloved father of Francisca E. Otom, the Official Photographer to the Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey. It was a solemn and dignified occasion, honoring a life well lived and offering support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
May the soul of the faithful departed rest in the bosom of our creator.
