I am reaching out to share some exciting news and to ask for your support. The MLK Middle School Cheerleaders have reclaimed their title as the 2026 RPS Cheer Champions, and they are currently fundraising to compete in the 2026 Powerhouse Stomp-n-Shake Competition on April 18 in North Carolina.
This dedicated group of young ladies has worked extremely hard to maintain strong academics, positive behavior, and continuously improve their craft as student-athletes. Competing at this level provides them with an opportunity to showcase their talent and represent our school community on a national stage.
We are seeking donations to help cover the cost of travel, competition fees, and other related expenses. If you are willing to support our cheerleaders, please consider making a donation.

We are excited to return with our legendary cheer coach, Mrs. Watson, as we work to reclaim the title and bring the trophy back home to the Home of the Mighty Titans!

Basketball season is here! Join us on Monday, November 24th at 3:30 p.m. as the MLK Titans take on the Brown Panthers in the first game of the 2025–26 season. Tickets may be purchased online at gofans.com, or you may scan the QR code in the attachment.
If you plan to attend, please enter through Door #11. All attendees must have a valid ticket for entry. Please note that all guests are subject to searches, and MLK follows a clear-bag-only policy for all athletic events.

As an educator, I believe that establishing clear classroom procedures and executing them consistently is essential for creating a productive learning environment. My students were engaged in a collaborative assignment. When the timer hit 0, without hesitation, each student rotated to the right and began working on the next problem. There were no questions or confusion. Everyone knew exactly what to do. Moments like this reflect the power of structure, consistency, and high expectations in the classroom.
