Now it feels like new year! Nian Hua, painting for New Year, are paintings used for decoration during the Lunar New Year, usually depict gods or auspicious symbols, or celebrate happy moments of life, to wish for a fruitful new year. This Nian Hua is created for the year of horse, with the method of back coloring. The thin medium of rice paper allows pigment to flow to the front without covering up the line work on the front of paper.
