Mortified by what my mother had just said my grandmother told her, I was so confused why that mattered. I love smiling and laughing! Who cares about wrinkles!
As I got older, smoked more cigarettes, had more sleepless nights, and more stress, those words somehow mattered more. Until I lost friends, some who were younger than me now when they passed. I started valuing each year more than the last, every laugh and every smile more. Aging became a blessing instead of a curse, despite what the world has told me this whole time.
With that, I hope this year I earn the most wrinkles. I hope I look like the crypt keeper by the time I hit 50 from laughing so much. I hope my crows feet attract actual crows. So far this is true - I’ve been having a blast and feel so loved. Thank you all for the birthday wishes ❤️ it means the world. For all my loved ones, I’m so lucky to see wrinkles pop up on your gorgeous faces and can’t wait for us all to attract crows together🎉✨
