Text reads: (Slide 1) UPDATED SAFER SPACE POLICY Provided with help and inspiration from @ywmpoxford and @pyxlssss Our goal is to provide the safest space possible for everyone joining us here. It is important to emphasize that most of the genres we play were created/ impacted and led by the work of marginalized people. These also include genres that were specifically made in opposition to oppressive systems and circumstances. It is impossible to separate the music from these contexts and because of this there will be ZERO TOLERANCE of Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia, Islamophobia, Antisemitism, Queerphobia, Misogyny, Fatphobia, Classism or Ableism. We expect everyone entering this space to be respectful to everyone around them. Your space is valid, but be mindful of the space you take and be generous when sharing it. (Slide 2) This extends to photos and videos, we do not operate a zero-photography policy but please try to ensure the comfort and consent of anybody you photograph. If someone feels unsafe we will take measures to deescalate the situation and remove anyone who is causing harm. If you see or experience any form of harassment or discrimination, if you feel able to, report it to one of us either in person or by messaging @hyperstition.ox @b__dugs or @yonic_the_hedgehog_ (Slide 3) ACCESSIBILITY The current venue for Hyperstition is sadly not wheelchair accessible. There are 3 separate sets of stairs to get down to the venue space. The toilets are located on a separate level from the venue space and there is no accessible toilet.

Fox Rave 2 is here :DDDD 🦊🦊🦊 Here to usher in Autumn, Fox rave is back with the original guides. We are incredibly excited to have Elwood back again for round 2!! The London-based Dariacore/Hardcore producer will be delivering another fast and fun set!! As always, we have our residents Sionnach and Molemann to deliver some hard sets! We will also be having this Hyperstition at @ywmpoxford ‘s The Nest. An incredible venue we’re so excited to work with which also includes a new Safer Spaces policy for the venue! This will be more extensive than our previous policy and please read before attending! The Nest’s policy will be listed on a separate post which we will drop soon! As before, we will be trying and some new COVID safety measures. For this event we will be offering masks and mouth wash on the door, and ask that you take a Lateral Flow Test prior to attending. We would also ask that if you are ill that you not attend - we have a refund policy in place and we’d be happy to refund your ticket! Let us take you on a 4 hour journey through the Major Arcana! Begin as the Fool (molemann b2b Sionnach), visit the High Priestess (Cassiopeia b2b Sionnach), find the Lovers (macaroni99 b2b Sionnach) and experience Temperance (DJ Mami b2b Sionnach). We are back at the Library on the 23rd of August for a mystical evening 🔮 This night will also be raising money for Asylum Welcome and Siembra NC. Asylum Welcome is a local charity that “offers information, advice and practical support to asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants living in Oxfordshire” and they do truly incredible work within our community. Siembra NC is a grassroots North Carolina based organisation that are “focused on defending our communities from abusive employers and landlords, ICE, and bad políticos”. They do this through advocacy against abusive employers, practical support for those impacted by ICE detention, providing community resources to those affected by the COVID pandemic, as well creating an ICE emergency hotline among many other methods. The unofficial dress code of the night is to dress as your favorite tarot card. Also, for this night we are hoping to try and test out some COVID safety measures. For this event we will be offering masks and mouth spray on the door, and ask that you take a Lateral Flow Test prior to attending. For the first episode of Hyperstition Season 3, we’re going for a summer special, we’ve invited all past local alumni for a spin-the-bottle b2b special. All sets will be mystery b2b’s answered by a spinning wheel. Back on the Hyperstition Decks we’ve got: Viscus Discus (s1e2) Cassiopeia and DJ Mami (s1e5) Faygeleh (s1e6) Class Resident Molemann (Special Guest s1e7, main cast s2 onwards) Amberant (s2e3) Malicia (s2e4) ZHFA Tehrani (s2e5) Dog Noizes (s2e6) and Sionnach (s1-3) We’ll be partying at @commongroundoxford for this clip episode of a club night on the 4th of July (NOT US RELATED, under NO circumstances will the US be glorified). Happy Birthday Hyperstition… again!! We’re so excited to announce our 2nd anniversary event which will be on the 14th of June at the Source Oxford! We are sooooo happy to have the fantastic producer and DJ, Stolen Velour (@stolenvelour__ ) join us for a set to celebrate! We’ve been dreaming of having him play Hyperstition since we started running this night back in 2023 and CANNOT WAIT! If you aren’t already familiar with Stolen Velour expect an incredible set that is deconstructed, experimental and bassy. Also joining us is dog noizes (@dog_noizes ) who is a longtime friend of the night who will be playing her multigenre gloom-to-bloom mix of techno, hyperpop and trance. This venue IS wheelchair accessible and has accessible bathrooms as well. Please bring your own drinks to this event, tickets are in bio now! The venue has a small capacity so grab a ticket ASAP. Off the back of a great Hyperstition last week, we’re incredibly excited to announce: Hyperstition ‘Chopped and Screwed’ Edition. This is a day club we’re gonna be running to support @ywmpoxford ‘s fundraiser to create a new music venue in oxford! This will take place on the 8th of June at Community Works Oxford from 1-5pm! We’re extremely excited to finally be joined by @zhfatehrani so get on down here to catch her incredible set! Tickets will be sold by donations to YWMP’s fundraiser. Screenshot us a receipt of your donation and we’ll add you to the list! The venue capacity for this one is very tiny so if you’d like to come, I’d recommend jumping on it ASAP.
