Miro x Hyper Island đ
What happens when students get 48 hours to solve a real challenge for a global company?
This week in Stockholm, we got to see exactly that.
Together with @mirohq , our students explored AI-powered collaboration, decision-making, and the future of teamwork - wrapping up the 48-hour sprint with an open event filled with talks, discussions, networking, and live pitches from the top three teams in front of an audience of industry professionals.
PĂ€r Hellstadius from Hyper Island and Wessel van den Bos from Miro shared insights on collaboration, healthy disagreement, and why better conversations often lead to better ideas, before the students took the stage to present their solutions.
And of course, congratulations to the winning team: Sofya Salnikova, Yukari Nishimura, Lija Scheiman, and Jens Brolin đ
Thank you as well to our judging panel: Nadja Tham from H&M, Jonas Lidman from PostNord, and Giuseppe Perri from Volvo, as well as Linn Carlsson Viuhkonen and Carin Möller for making the whole project happen.
Real challenges. Real collaboration. Real ideas.

48 hours. Two YH programmes. One incredible client - @mirohq đ
This collaboration felt special. Miro has been part of the Hyper Island toolkit for years, helping our students turn physical ideas into digital collaboration. Bringing that into a live sprint together just made sense.
The brief: explore how AI can support better human conversations, especially in moments of disagreement. The result? Thoughtful, room full of creative solutions focused on helping people understand each other better and move forward, together.
Huge thanks to Wessel and Anna from Miro for the energy and collaboration, to Linn, Justyna and May for making it all happen, and of course to our brilliant students for rising to the challenge!

Weâre grateful to Claudia Leite, one of our course participants, for taking the time to share her experience at The Art of Effective Communication course!
With 28 years of leadership experience, in the video, Claudia reflects on the value of combining strong communication tools with the confidence to deliver them when it matters most. We couldnât agree more.
Learn to not just speak, but be heard.

You can have the best idea in the room, and still not make an impact.
Why? Because skill alone is not enough.
Most people spend years building skills: learning frameworks, mastering tools, and gaining experience. But ideas only create movement when they land when you present them.
If your message is not adapted to the audience, if the context is missed, or if there is no connection, even a great idea can remain just an idea.
That is where influence matters.
Not louder. Not more persuasive. Just more intentional.
It is about knowing how to communicate so people listen, connect, and act.
So when you think about your own work, where are you today? Are your communication skills already where you want them to be, or is there still room to grow? đ
For those ready to take their communication skills to the next level, discover the next cohort of Hyper Islandâs The Art of Effective Communication course, starting on May 11.

Just 4 days are left to apply to our YH programmes, and yesterday we gathered at our Stockholm campus for the last workshops before applications close! đ
A big thank you to everyone who joined us at our Stockholm campus, both yesterday and at our previous session in March. Across the two workshops, we welcomed 150+ people considering studying at Hyper Island on-site, and we hope to see many of you again in August when we kick off our YH programmes.
Big shoutout to our Learning Developers and Facilitators - May, Justyna, and Daniel - and to our current students who shared their real experiences with applicants across programmes. You gave a clear picture of what studying at Hyper Island actually looks like!
This is your final call - applications close April 20 at 22:00.

Weâre moving! đ
This August, weâll open the doors to a new space in DN-skrapan, Stockholm, marking a new chapter as we approach 30 years of transformative learning at Hyper Island.
More than a change of address, the move is about creating better conditions for how we learn and work together - bringing our YH programmes and our work in executive learning and business transformation even closer in one shared space.
âThis move marks a new chapter for Hyper Island. Our new space will create a stronger setting for learning, collaboration, and future growth. As we approach 30 years as pioneers in transformative learning, this is the right moment to invest in the environment for what comes next.â
â Heidi Rundt, CEO of Hyper Island.
The new campus is being developed together with @wearemod.se and Areim. Throughout the process, weâre exploring what kind of environment is needed for what comes, balancing vision with practical realities.
Weâre looking forward to opening the doors soon and to the people who will bring the space to life đ
What if we launched a course called Leading Through Guesswork? đ§
One day. Onsite. Focused on confident leadership, alignment, and decision-making, all while not knowing what youâre doing.
Then again, most people are already practicing it, so maybe thereâs no need for a new course after all.
But now weâre curious: what other questionable course should we launch once April Foolâs is over?
â°Â If youâd prefer something slightly less chaotic, this week is your last chance to get 20% off selected short courses with our early bird offer.

Back in the early 2010s, we started asking ourselves what a Masterâs at Hyper Island could look like.
The ambition was clear: to build something with international accreditation and a stronger academic foundation, without losing the parts of the Hyper Island methodology that make it what it is: collaboration, reflection, space for experimentation, and learning by doing.
Today, that vision lives on in our Masterâs Degree in Digital Innovation & Strategic Leadership đ
In this video, Rebecca Taylor, Academic Lead of our Masterâs programmes, shares more about what that looks like in practice: online, part-time, rooted in real client cases, and shaped by a global community of experienced professionals.
Itâs built for people who feel ready for their next step - into a leadership position, more strategic work, or a bigger role in driving change.

We talk a lot about innovation as if itâs about better ideas đĄ
But looking at these four stories, thatâs not really what makes the difference.
What stands out is how small shifts in behaviour changed everything. Not more strategy, just a different way of designing what people do already.
Thatâs also what some of our short courses focus on at Hyper Island: building the skills needed to understand behaviour, design better systems, and act on whatâs coming next.
Weâve just opened early bird access on three short courses, with 20% off for a limited time! â Link in bio đ

We just welcomed our new cohort of Masterâs students to Stockholm! đ Kicking things off together before continuing their journey online from all corners of the world.
Our Masterâs in Digital Innovation & Strategic Leadership may be part-time and online, but it starts with Way Week in Stockholm - one of Hyper Islandâs most iconic traditions. A full-on, in-person experience where strangers become a crew, trust gets built fast, and the foundation for the year ahead takes shape.
In just one week: learning, reflecting, opening up, challenging each other, planning ahead⊠and yes, even some awkward dancing. A very real, very human start before diving into the challenges, learning, and work ahead.
Huge shoutout to this open-minded crew for showing up fully, and to Rebecca Taylor and Johan Eriksson, who also flew in to Stockholm to host the week and made it such an energetic and memorable experience.

You can read about Hyper Island, or you can experience it.
Over 60 applicants to our YH programmes came together for an interactive admissions workshop, and experienced Hyper Island the way itâs meant to be: hands-on, collaborative, and a little outside the comfort zone.
In just three hours, we saw potential future classmates connect, exchange ideas, build teams, and dive into real challenges straight away. It wasnât just about learning about Hyper Island, it was about feeling what itâs like to be part of it.
If youâve been wondering whether this is the right path for you, this is where it starts to click.
Missed it? Youâve got one more chance đ
