We’re always eager to bring more books into the store (especially when they come on a spinner, of course), so we’re super excited about our new selection of Penguin Classics. These paperback versions of your favorite classic books come at a lower price point than their hardcover friends and are located in the front corner of the bookstore by the puzzles!

We had an adorable little visitor for our lamb storytime yesterday! Thank you to Kathryn for bringing Tuck Tuck, and we hope everyone had a good time meeting him! Stay tuned for another visitor sometime soon, perhaps?

One week from today is Independent Bookstore Day! If this is your first IBD, it’s a massive party celebrated by local bookstores around the world and we are excited to be participating for our third year! We’ll be giving away custom Hyperbole enamel pins (pics coming next week) with every $25 purchase and an ARC (advance reader copy) of your choice with every $50 purchase. We’ll also have brunch-y treats, goodie bags for kids, and a huge book basket giveaway. So mark your calendars, text your bookish friends, and we’ll see you next weekend!
The edible section of the bookstore (no, not that kind) has gotten a refresh recently with new varieties of cocktail mixers, tons of new candy, and a long overdue restock on our favorite chocolate bars. These little treats make the perfect addition to any bookish gift, and we are always happy to share our very strong opinions about our faves.
We try not to play favorites, but it’s hard when the customers are this cute!! If you’ve never brought your dog or cat into the store before, know that we are always pet friendly and love seeing your furry family members!

After years spent debating which section every horror book should belong in (fantasy? fiction? thriller?), we finally made the super obvious choice to give horror its own little section at Hyperbole. You can now find your favorite horror-ific reads in their own home between our fantasy and thriller sections. And let us know if you have any favorite horror authors you’d like to see on the shelf!
Thank you so much to everyone who attended the Starfall Fantasy Ball last weekend! It was so much fun seeing your costumes, celebrating our love of fantasy books, and dancing with you all night.
