📽 About 2 years ago, we released Cadavre Exquis, a music video directed by Emmanuel Vion-Dury (@plainview_studio ) based on our eponym composition. The piece has been composed by using the principle of the surrealist game Cadavre Exquis (exquisite corpse). It ends up being a 16 minutes long trip of 12 different parts, and the film sticks to this concept. The video has won several awards (including the nomination for the "best swiss video clip" at the @sofilmtage and @m4musicfestival 2023). But never mind that. It's definitely the production that makes us most proud. And the video deserves to be seen and shared (we count only 2k views on youtube after those 2 years). So this is also why we've added it here. Hopefully the instagram algorithm will do a better job than youtube's 🙄. Enjoy ! Das Werk thematisiert das Phänomen der Technostalgie: das Verlangen, durch Technologie erneut eine Verbindung zu Imagination und Freiheit herzustellen. Die Musiker:innen und ihre Soundsysteme sind im Raum verteilt und umkreisen das Publikum. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Lichtkünstlerin @lea_martinez__ und dem Tonkünstler Maxime Le Saux entsteht so eine immersive audiovisuelle Erfahrung. The work addresses the phenomenon of technostalgia: the desire to reconnect with imagination and freedom through technology. The musicians and their sound systems are distributed throughout the space, encircling the audience. In collaboration with light artist Léa Martinez and sound artist Maxime Le Saux, this creates an immersive audiovisual experience. Trigger warning: May contain loud bass/sub-frequencies.
