Spring Concert 2026 brought together:
• 450+ dancers
• nearly 80 dances
• 100+ volunteers
• 1,100+ audience members
And somehow, what felt biggest was the sense of connection in the room.
To our dancers, families, faculty, staff, volunteers, board members, alumni, and supporters: thank you for making Hyde Park School of Dance the community that it is.
Yesterday was a reminder that dance is about so much more than what happens on stage. It is about people showing up for one another, growing together, and creating something bigger than themselves.

Guest Faculty Spotlight ✨
We’re honored to welcome HPSD fave Tracey Franklin to Week 3 of our Summer Intensive.
Tracey trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and performed with Dallas Black Dance Theater and Deeply Rooted Dance Theater, bringing extensive experience as both a performer and teaching artist.
Her work continues to shape dancers through strong technical foundations and artistic development as the Dance and Theatre Department Head at ChiArts.
Tracey will be working with advanced-level dancers in our Summer Intensive from July 20–24. Choreography set by Tracey during week 3 will be performed at the Summer Showcase on July 31st at the Logan Center.
