Good times! You are looking at unubtainium! Not sure if I spelled that right. Anyway, Faber LP50. Doubles. 100 feet of back gas! What if we jam a bit more air in there? How many feet of air do we have with a 3000 PSI fill? Fill pressure/operational pressure x cylinder capacity x two since we have doubles. Cave fill? Running Blue Steel valves and manifold. Piranha SCUBA house brand bands.
Had a train wreck of a set up for the doubles. Looked like Medusa. Changed first stage positions, hose locations and lengths, swapped SPGs for transmitters and 10” hoses. Swapped LPI hoses for exact lengths. LPIs are leaking so I have replacements en route. Set is now more efficient, has redundancy and streamlined. Valves and isolator are easy to get to. No obstructions. My old valves were made for doubles. This set is not. Nothing wrong with them, just took a few minutes and some thought.
I was concerned earlier. Notice said I had a package on the way. Ended up with six boxes. Faber steel LP85s from Piranha SCUBA. Valves going on tonight and a road trip to Sea Lancers for air later this week.
Been a while since I’ve had this set running. Knocking the dirt off this kit and doing some decompression diving and training. I got very fond of sidemount diving with @waterdogsscubasafety last year. My Hollis regs have a stop use notice on them so I’m stuck using these old Apeks MTX regs. I need to swap out the LPI hose for shorter units. My current hose is too long.
