Families on Quarry Road in Reservoir Hills, KwaZulu-Natal, were affected by a devastating fire that left many without shelter, food, and everyday essentials.
Many families are still trying to rebuild and find their footing again. For the next 14 days, we’ll be supporting the community with hot meals, cosmetics, school uniforms, stationery, and other essentials to assist families during this difficult time.
Thank you to @HollywoodFoundation for partnering with Ikabawo Projects NPC to support families affected by the fire and to stand alongside the community during this difficult period.
Through care, support, and people coming together, the community continues to move forward one day at a time.

Over three days, we proudly hosted the Bambelela Business Awards in KwaZulu-Natal, celebrating local businesses, their hard work, and their contribution to the community. This year’s programme brought together 128 MSMEs from across the province, each engaging in a journey of growth, connection, and opportunity.
Day 1 kicked off with an MSME briefing session, where business owners gathered to learn about the awards process, funding opportunities, and ways to grow their ventures sustainably.
Day 2 featured MSME exhibitions, panel discussions, and elevator pitches, giving businesses a valuable opportunity to connect and gain visibility. Day 3 concluded with a Gala Dinner at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse, where a total of R1,135,000 was awarded across the programme.
This marks an increase in the total funding awarded, allowing for greater support towards MSME growth, sustainability, and access to opportunities. This included two spot prizes totalling R12,500, along with a R12,500 social media competition prize. Among the winners, 17 businesses received R45,000 each.
