I’m becoming exactly who i was supposed to be.
Exodus changed something in me. For the first time in my life, I stopped hiding behind a brand and really let myself be seen. not just as a designer, but as Chad. as Hurst.
I grew up disconnected from that name. i never knew my father, grew up in foster care, and for a long time Hurst felt heavy to me. like something I inherited instead of something that belonged to me and I honestly hated it for years.
Somewhere during this collection I realized i’ve spent the last decade giving that name meaning with my own two hands. I had to build myself from nothing… and THAT became @hurstxhurst and not the past attached to it.
Exodus was never just about clothes. it was about finally stepping into myself without apology and for the first time, i can honestly say I feel connected to the man behind all of this. I’m calmer, clearer, and more certain of who i am and where i’m headed.
