Hye-Jin Ris Kim has never lived in straight lines. The Seoul-based interior designer and founder of @studiohjrk has built her practice, and her life, around the French concept of flânerie: the art of wandering with intention.
In this essay, she traces how drifting through cities, cultures, and disciplines has shaped everything from her design eye to her sense of self. From the antique markets of Seoul to the lacquered walls of a hotel lounge, from art history classes in Chicago to interior architecture in Paris, Kim reflects on what it means to stay present and grounded in a city built for speed; and why, in work as in life, the most meaningful things tend to reveal themselves not at the destination, but somewhere along the way.

@dianawpicasso is not in the business of preservation alone. The granddaughter of Pablo Picasso and Marie-Thérèse Walter is an art historian, curator, entrepreneur and collector whose work extends well beyond the family name.
Raised in Paris among her grandfather's paintings, she studied law and art history at the Sorbonne, trained her eye at Sotheby's, and then turned to the least examined corner of Picasso's output, his sculptures, compiling their catalogue raisonné, a project now spanning over twenty years.
In 2017, she co-founded @mene , a jewelry company selling pieces in pure 24-karat gold by gram weight, introducing radical price transparency to an industry that has long resisted it.
She has curated landmark exhibitions at Gagosian, the Grand Palais and Galleria Borghese, and collects broadly from Renaissance jewelry to contemporary art. But we’ll let her do the talking.

Emanuel Ungaro bought 160 acres of olive groves and forest in the southern Luberon in 1985 and spent the rest of his life turning it into his refuge—restoring twelfth-century stone buildings with Venetian staircases, reclaimed marble, hand-painted ceilings, planting five thousand olive trees toward the hills.
When he passed in 2019, he left his daughter @cosimaungaro with no instructions, so she opened it. @domainedelacavalerie is now a private stay, two houses and eleven bedrooms, always reserved for a single party.
Meals by Bernardo Costantino structure the day, moving between wood-fire kitchens and terraces throughout the estate. There's a spring-fed basin, a listening room developed with John Storyk and equipped with Burmester systems, and Artemis, the estate's own early-harvest olive oil, pressed once a year in limited volumes.
Cosima has kept the rhythm her father set: long tables, late afternoons, time that extends well beyond what anyone planned.
