Zuzana Zmateková x Hup.Studio
We had the pleasure of collaborating with textile designer, researcher and artist Zuzana Zmateková. Her work has been exhibited at Milan Design Week 2025, Stockholm Furniture Fair 2025 and many other spaces.
Together we developed a series of 3D visuals to expand her textile pieces during exhibitions, exploring the space where digital aesthetics and physical materials meet.
In-between reflects the idea of the digital-real: a dialogue across virtual forms, gradients and 3D gestures translated into tangible textile surfaces.

Refracted is a film that explores the tension between clarity and illusion, what is visible yet altered, through the lens of the observer. Inspired by the organic delicacy of flowers seen through distorted glass.
Petals and stems refract, as if suspended behind a warped surface, showing how our increasingly mediated world shapes our relationship with nature. The natural forms of flowers are transformed through the distortion of glass, creating a dialogue between the organic and the digital.
Rather than presenting a clear image, Refracted invites the viewer to reframe, and reconsider what they perceive. It is not only about distortion, but about the beauty that emerges through it.

Soft Place is a silicone ring crafted from a unique type of silicone commonly used in soft robotics. The material has a skin-like texture and is highly deformable. Each piece is handmade, with carefully selected and blended colors.

The designer sees Soft Place as an open invitation for users to define its purpose through their own creativity and imagination. It can serve as a decoration piece, a tactile object to ease anxiety, or simply a soft space to release stress.
At @hup.studio , we used Soft Place as inspiration to create a visual poem. We brought to life the way its soft material gently morphs, reflecting calmness and serenity. The rings stretch and relax, inviting viewers to experience a moment of calm.

The COSMO sofa a collection created for et al., the Italian-made designer furniture brand, revolves around a universe of possibilities.
We had the opportunity to work with the talented designer Philippe Tabet, with whom we immediately connected due to his minimal and contemporary aesthetic.
Our goal was to capture a film with a new atmosphere. Integrating the concept of dynamic lights, materials and comfort, we created a unique ambiance in which different pieces of the sofa move as if floating in the cosmos.
