Overnighted Robbers Roost in Sedona. It was warmer than expected. We stole water from a Pink Jeep tour rig, hiked to the roost in the dark, and fell asleep to Sicario. By the time we made it back to the car, we were completely out of water. Summer’s around the corner.
Long overdue time spent hiking with friends that came into town (even though most of us live here). Hiked the Butcher Jones Trail out at Saguaro Lake and enjoyed the views while Gilly enjoyed the water.
Spent the weekend in San Francisco with my two loves. It was Gus’ first time on a plane, and we were so surprised by how well he handled it. Each day we explored a different part of the city, trying to see it from every angle. When Gus got too tired, he’d slow down and yawn at us, and every night back at the hotel he’d pass out on the bed, exhausted and happy. Our little traveler ❤️ So grateful for these two.
Backpacked along the West Baldy Trail in Greer this weekend. My tire blew out halfway to Payson. I threw on the spare, dropped the car with my parents who happened to be at the cabin, and drove the rest of the way with Alejandro. The rain was so heavy at one point we had to pull over and wait it out. We didn’t make it to camp until 1am. That added to the fun.
Spent some time in Portland a few weeks ago visiting my sister and the kids. They showed me what berry belly is. My mom flew out midway through the trip. We hiked some trails, saw a few sights, and checked out the city. It was an awesome trip away from the heat.
Beautiful weather, great company, and an awesome turnout for yesterday’s ride! Making the most of these days before the summer heat. Night rides are in our future.
