Sending off my old green machine to a new home . Matt @passandstowracks displayed it at the trade show and I got a fair offer I couldn’t refuse . I really wasn’t planning on selling it but dough is dough and rent is due . I always thought of it as the bike I would keep if I could only have one bike . I can always make another though . Lots of memories , lots of tours , lots of just hacking around . Until next time green machine …. #cromolytubulartaskforce

Way back Wednesday to 2008. A run of “ Buffalo “ track racing frames for the Montano Velo track team . Projects like this are rewarding creatively ( not financially) . It’s fun to see your bikes being raced and enjoyed . Rob aka Hoopty raced his successfully for a long time. These frames were made on Walker street in downtown Watsonville. The train was still running down the tracks …. #cromolytubulartaskforce

Tall & Stubby .. Made a few stems to get the bars up . Backwards binders to get them out of the way of the cables , less chance of snagging your lines . Cro-moly tubing , tig welded , 5 mm binders made in house , torqued with Torx . These stems are about 2” taller than a similar length 0 degree stem . 40mm reach Made and powder coated in Tulare County, California . #cromolytubulartaskforce

Smooth bends & tailwinds . Introducing the new Hunter Cycles Smooth Move drop bar . These are a fresh take on a classic shape used and championed for generations in some of the toughest races in the world . Modeled and inspired by the Cinelli 65 Criterium bar , now updated with a 53cm width and 31.8 clamp . These are big and rangy , a shape that allows not only lots of hand positions but also a significant range of body positions . Ride upright on the tops , lay out long onto the hoods, drape your wrists on the large radius upper bend, or drop down to the hooks and flats to stretch out and sail away. Lots of wrist clearance in the drops for sprinting and technical riding. These are not for everyone, make no mistake , these are deep and long. Depending on your setup I would recommend a shorter and higher stem . Because of the shape the hoods will always sit fairly low. In stock now on the webshop . Major thanks to the crews @circles_world_distribution and @simworks for all the help getting these made . This was a pre-covid project brought back to life. Made by Nitto Japan Black or silver 150mm drop 88mm reach 3 degree flare 31.8 bulge 410 grams Thanks !

Flannery and I’s first self propelled camp out . 2 nights in mid central western California . Windy and dark going in , sunny and warm coming out . JJ the dog ran the whole way and filled in as second parent / older crazy brother . We met T&R for a crucial meetup at the turnaround point in the Hanging Valley . Fun times .

Started off the 2024 with a colonoscopy in SF . Smooth sailing and clean as a whistle said the doc 🤙. Had lunch with ZO and @the.scorps after that . ZO fixed an old bag of mine I’ve had since high school and McNally set me up with some real nice prints . Backroads and tailwinds all the way home .
