Given all of the responses I had to my story about AI music, I decided to make a list of AI āartistsā on Spotify. This isnāt even nearly exhaustive, it got too overwhelming at some point so I had to stop. Really sad that there are that many of them now.
Some things to look out for to clock AI āartistsā:
ā¢obviously digital art
ā¢no releases before 2025
ā¢an absurd amount of releases in just one year
ā¢any videos only comprised of short clips
ā¢vocals sound a bit unclear (like words are slurring)
ā¢lack of online presence
ā¢no humans in photos, or if there are humans, there are inconsistencies (look for changing tattoos/piercings)
ā¢any artwork has a hooded, faceless figure (AI loves this for rock)
ā¢ātheā AI font. Example in the 2nd to last slide
ā¢empty bio, or a weird cryptic bio. See last slide
If youāre an AI āartistā, you are not an artist, but a thief and an embarrassment. Nothing will convince me otherwise and Hungry Boy will never support AI music. ā
The first year of Hungry Boy shows has come to an end! Well, it was a partial year since officially starting this work back in May. Since then, Iāve hosted 9 shows in 4 different states, from @arizonabuffalo ās southwest run, to @black.tapestry ās album release show, to conclude with the 2nd annual AZ Math Rock Fest that really blew up.
I appreciate all of the bands, venues, and fans that have worked with me, came to a show, talked with me about music. Itās an honor to do this for our community and I have been so grateful for all of the love, support, and encouragement Iāve received in the short time since starting HB.
Looking forward to 2026 and getting more shows and events going! We are building a positive, strong community and I appreciate everyone who is a part of that journey with me in AZ and beyond.
