This absolutely is "the BEST part" 🤗
Today Ruby & I handed out our first round of grocery gift cards to our 10 food pantry partners.
It was a great morning tea (fairy bread was absolutely on the menu 😂) hosted by our amazing charity partner @handsacrosscanberra and CEO @genevievemjacobs
We were also grateful to have some of our generous "Super Donors" in attendance to see the flow on effect their donation has had first hand.
So far we have raised almost $60,000 and we're not giving up yet!
Christmas is only 1 week away and we really want to achieve our goal of raising $100,000 to help 1000 local families.

Why a grocery voucher?
Well, because we believe that people deserve better than a hamper filled with tinned hams, plum puddings and instant noodles.
A tinned ham was exactly what my daughter was assigned to bring into school for Christmas hampers. 😔
"Nobody likes admitting they can't put food on the table and shame keeps many away from seeking help. It's not easy to admit that you and your kids are going hungry" Genevieve Jacobs, CEO of Hands Across Canberra.
We see the benefit of a voucher being a "hand up" rather than a "hand out" of pre-selected grocery items put together in a hamper.
A voucher gives people the freedom to visit their local supermarket and choose the foods that they and their family like to eat.
But more than that, it gives people the dignity they deserve during their toughest times.
