We believe that collaboration is essential to success. A big thanks to Travis Duda of @hunchbackgraphics and @hunchbackgallery for taking time out of his busy schedule to discuss branding with the students of Clark University’s Liberal Arts for Returning Citizens (LARC) Food Entrepreneurship program.
Travis has helped so many small businesses in Worcester and throughout Massachusetts develop and grow their brands.
There’s something special about growing with a project over time.
In March 2023, we designed the first poster for Crocodile River Music’s Heart of Africa radio show on WICN, hosted by bassist Thierno Camara. It was bold and proud, built to reflect the energy he brings every Saturday night.
In 2024, we introduced the graphic heart into the logo and swapped up the photo. It added warmth and gave the title a stronger focal point, something that felt true to both the music and the mission.
Recently, they released the third iteration. At the request of the CRM team, we incorporated the shape of Africa into the logo. A subtle addition, but a meaningful one. That’s what long term collaboration allows. Each round builds on the last. The identity gets clearer. The story gets sharper.
The show continues to evolve and improve, and it’s been a privilege to let the visuals grow with it. We get a little more dialed in every time.
Design isn’t about getting it perfect once. It’s about listening, refining, and building momentum together.

Building Evolution does serious work in the real world. The brand needed to feel just as solid. Clean structure. Clear hierarchy. A mark that moves forward without trying too hard.
