We are pleased to announce the conclusion of our Covid-19 Pandemic Captains Cast Net Relief Program. To show our support for fishing guides during these hard times we chose 100 qualified and reputable captains to receive a net at no charge. A value exceeding $30,000 worth of nets to show we care. Congratulations to the 100 captains that received a net, and thank you to all our hard work captains, and guides. As the leader, and one of the most favored cast net manufacturers by guides we strive to support the fishing community to the best of our ability. We take care of those who take care of us. For those who are interested in our guide program, we offer discounted nets for representing our brand and spreading the love. Visit: for more details. Targeting Fall Redfish With fall in its early stages and the weather starting to cool down many anglers are looking to wet their lines as the end of the year starts to race by. One of the main fall and winter time species Redfish are in the crosshairs of many anglers. Redfish have made their dominant presence known in great force by mid-September. They are well known for their showing in the spring and late summer months. They can be found at any of grass flats, mangrove lines, and oyster bars, and areas that hold decent structure in shallow water. Heading to your favorite backwater spots this time of year is a great way to find them as well. Redfish desire the same structure and environment as other inshore fish. A place to hang out and ambush baits passing by. Choice baits to use are live shrimp, and Scaled Sardines. We recommend these baits be presented on a size 2/0 - 3/0 Trident Circle hook free-lined, or with a Joy Fish brand split shot. Some bait shops sell Scaled sardines but most of the time you have to use a cast net to catch them. We reccomend catching enough to use for bait as well as a few extra for chuming. You will be able to find these baitfish at the channel markers and shallow to deep transition areas nearest boat channels. We recommend using a 10 foot 3/8"mesh Humpback cast net to catch bait. Many anglers can usually catch enough bait for a trip in one or two casts due to the ease of opening in the net design. Take advantage of the cooler water temperatures as the fish are more active in the shallows. You can sight cast, or drift fish for Redfish.
