Hi, hello — we’re HumanThreadsss 🧵
A creative consultancy working at the intersection of content, community and culture — founded to help brands and talent grow with intention, connect with culture, and show up with care.
We build strategy, storytelling and experiences rooted in real connection. And after months of refining, reflecting and remembering our ‘why’ — we’re live.

Women Who Werkkk made it into Verge. Again 🥹
We won’t pretend external validation isn’t exciting, because it absolutely is. But more than that, it reinforces what we already know: this initiative matters, and that recognition helps us do more of it ✨
Three years of spotlighting women in the creative industry, and the conversation keeps going 🗣️
A huge thank you to Verge for covering us twice. And to everyone who attended, asked a question, showed out, and made this year’s event everything it was 🤍

The panel just got even better 👀
We’re adding one more to the lineup for Power, Proximity and Passing It On, and this one comes with good reason to celebrate.
Joining us on the night:
🆕 Harry Trotman, Co-founder, Mirchi (@wearemirchi )
If you know, you know. And if you don’t, you’re about to.
Harry brings a perspective that sits right at the heart of what this conversation is about: building something from the ground up, getting into the right rooms, and making sure others follow.
We’re grateful to have him and the Mirchi team as part of the WWW 2026 family, and yes, they’re providing the drinks for the night.
You’ll want to get there early to grab a free cocktail in the first hour🍹
Free tickets via the link in bio. Doors open 6pm, panel starts 7:15pm. Must have ID to attend.

The question I get asked most is: why Black women? What exactly is the issue in the creative industry?
This is your answer 👇🏾
75p for every £1 a White man earns. £9,786 less than White women. The only group whose salary went backwards in the last 12 months. 43,000 Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic professionals pushed out of the industry in a single year. And 82% of businesses with no DEI budget to speak of.
Swipe through. Then sit with it 👀
This is exactly why Women Who Werkkk exists, a community built for and by the women this industry keeps undervaluing. And we’re just getting started 🤍
Our launch event is on the 23rd. Link in bio to register.
Or tag a Black woman in the creative industry who deserves her flowers and her full rate 🌸
All data taken from the Major Players Creative Industries Census 2026, with comparisons drawn from their 2025 report.

I cried a little not gonna lie 🥹🤣
Women Who Werkkk is in @vergemagazine and I genuinely cannot believe it.
This year I’m running the entire launch by myself for the first time. Every email, every pitch, every decision. Solo. And it has not been easy.
But this week keeps reminding me that the sleepless nights are sooooo worth it.
Thank you @vergemagazine for this feature. Our launch event is next week and I could not be more ready 🥹🤍

With a list as strong as ours, the panel had to match 🤩
So for this year’s Women Who Werkkk launch, we’re bringing together a group of people who don’t just sit in the room… they shape it.
Introducing our panel: Power, Proximity and Passing It On.
A conversation about where decision-making really sits, how access is created (or withheld), and what it actually looks like to pass opportunities on in practice.
Joining us on the night:
• Annisha Taylor — Group Head of DEI, Ofcom
• Jo Grierson — CEO, One Green Bean
• Shanice Mears — Co-Founder, The Elephant Room
• Teon Harris — Senior Brand Partnerships Manager, Dose of Society
This is for anyone thinking about:
– how to get closer to opportunity
– how to build rooms, not just enter them
– and how we make sure access doesn’t stop with us
While this is a space celebrating Black women, all allies are welcome (yes, men - this includes you 🥰).
Part of the Women Who Werkkk 2026 launch. One night, but rooted in something much bigger.

Just two women who werkkk in conversation 🤍
Naomi Andrews (@naiissance from this year’s list) sits down with Gelmira Fortunato Manico (@gelmiramanico_ from our very first list) to talk about navigating fashion and carving your own lane.
In this clip from ALTWORLD’s (@wearealtworld ) Fashion Insights podcast, Gelmira shares one of her favourite looks she styled on Bellah (@ibebellah ) and reflects on her first shoot.
We love moments like this 🥹
Just women sharing their journeys, their experiences, and what they’ve learned along the way.
It’s been so nice to see everything Gelmira has been building since being on the list.
These two ladies are true werking woman in every sense ✨

Now you know the women on the list. It’s time to meet them ✨
Join us at @45londonshoreditch on 23 April as we celebrate this year’s Women Who Werkkk list and bring the community together in real life 🤍
🥂 A mixer for creatives, founders and cultural leaders 🎤 A panel on Power, Proximity and Passing It On 🎉 And a party, because celebration is part of the work too
While we originally planned to host this in March, we moved the date so we could build an experience that raises the bar on last year 💫
Women Who Werkkk started as a list. But the vision has always been bigger.
We’re building the UK’s biggest network and development platform for Black women in the creative industries 🤍
And while Women Who Werkkk centres Black women, the launch is open to all, because the most meaningful change happens when the right people are in the room together.
If you want to be in proximity to the women shaping culture right now and in the future…
this is where you want to be 😉
