The group was set up in response to the question “how do we give animals a voice in healthcare?'and the answer was clear - through guardian representation.
Inspired by the impact of Public Patient Involvement and Engagement in human medicine, Humanimal Trust recognised the opportunity to create the same kind of advocacy for animal patients — ensuring guardians can help shape more ethical, inclusive and grounded decision-making.
