Our vision is to move towards a just and sustainable world, where no one suffers for lack of basic needs. We aim to redistribute the global wealth through awareness, action, and partnership. With love, empathy, and courage, we believe that standing together can challenge the systems that keep people in extreme poverty.

When Djaffar Shalchi and his wife, Ané Maró, saw a world where a few held unbelievable wealth while millions lived in inhumane conditions, they knew something had to change. In 2016, they donated over $30 million of their fortune to launch Human Act in Copenhagen, an international NGO determined to end extreme poverty and wealth inequality. Together, they turned personal success into a movement for systemic change.

Take a glimpse into the reality of poverty and inequality! These are not just stories. They’re fragments of everyday lives shaped by unequal circumstances and the quiet struggle found within them. #Poverty #Inequality

Average income doesn’t predict social health in rich countries. Surprise! It’s inequality that strongly correlates with problems. #TheBrokenLadder #Inequality

Why doesn't more money always equal more happiness? It’s all about the comparison game. #TheBrokenLadder #Inequality

What feels like “enough” is constantly changing because we measure it through others. That’s where perception takes over. On the broken ladder, it’s often perception that decides where we feel we stand. #Inequality #TheBrokenLadder

Every day, we hear about people who started with nothing and became extremely rich through hard work and talent, while the role of luck and a rich background is often ignored.

Inequality isn’t just numbers, it’s how it feels to live it. You can be doing “fine” on paper and still feel behind, just because of where you stand. That’s the broken ladder. #Inequality #TheBrokenLadder

Feeling poor isn’t always about what you have, it’s about who you compare yourself to. Even a stable life can start to feel like “not enough” when everyone around you seems to have more. #Inequality #TheBrokenLadder

When billionaires align themselves with power, they make possible a concentration of power that threatens lives and democracy. Jeff Bezos sponsoring the Met Gala is a prime example of this. This is not philanthropy, it is influence bought and paid for. End the oligarchy. Tax the Super-Rich! #TaxTheSuperRich #MetGala

Before we call someone a monster, we should first question the system they’re living in and where the real responsibility lies. Most of these pressures aren’t created by ordinary people, but they shape how people act.
