Since it’s our last week of the weekly baking challenge, we thought we’d give you extra time to perfect your bakes and get your entries in. We’ll be announcing the winner on Wednesday!

Our Art Department has been working absolute magic behind the scenes, turning the stage into a colourful, chaotic, cake-filled Bake Off tent - and the results are extraordinary.
Over the past few months, this volunteer team has poured hours of talent, imagination and craftsmanship into bringing the TV studio world of Bake Off to life. They’ve been busy freshening up and transforming bought-in props and movable set pieces, as well as creating entirely original pieces from scratch - and needless to say, their collective efforts have made our upcoming production visually joyful, playful and uniquely HMTC.
So far, they’ve made:
🧁 120 metres of handmade oversized bunting
🧁 A giant fridge
🧁 The “Eiffel Tower” (lol)
🧁 Cakes galore
🧁 Scone puppets
🧁 Ice-cream towers
🧁 Aeronautical strudels
…and so much more!
Every detail you’ll see on stage has been touched by the creativity and dedication of people from within our own community - dozens of people generously giving up days, evenings and weekends to create something absolutely incredible together. You are so appreciated!
The aesthetics and art direction for the show has been led by our Production Designer, Lauren - who couldn’t be prouder of every single person who got stuck in and got messy 🎨 She says you’re all amazing.

Its time to meet the King and Queen of the Tent, The Bake Off judges Dame Pam Lee (Karen Shepherd) and Phil Hollinghurst (Dave Ross).
Pam — a true national treasure with a flair for the fabulous.
And then there’s Phil — the blue-eyed silver fox of the tent. Stern but always fair.
Together, Pam and Phil bring class, wit, and serious baking knowledge to the tent — all in the pursuit of crowning the ultimate Star Baker. Who will rise? 👀🍞
