preamble: you think you hate something.
ok but shut up, no you don’t.
or probably don’t.
or might not, but like, what about later? maybe?
Almost every year I try cantaloupe, confronting a longstanding distaste in hopes that some unique preparation, variety, both? or my evolving palette can shake my aversion.
Patchouli was (WAS) a perpetual dislike for me until recently. I was asked to go digging into patchouli perfumes for a friend and on the other side, I’m thankful for my efforts toward openness, cause baby, I’m in the deep end, obsessed with the many shades of miss green grand dame patchouli, at the helm of my heart, winking, going ‘oooooo’ ‘heeeeeey’.
Ok, so Aesop’s Fables Shelly Duvall Fairy Tale Theater moral of the story: you might just always hate cantaloupe.
Fine.
That might just be the case, but your palette changes, deepens, dulls, and what you think something smells like might just be a sliver of its full self.
Tryyyyyy to stay open, keep trying shit, and come smell some fun, verdant, savory?, and always compelling fragrances with me this Saturday

It's a curation of patchouli, galbanum, marijuana, and violet leaf perfumes, a large majority of which come from perfumer-led brands.
Looks like one spot’s opened up, so grab it and come smell!
