‼️ COMMUNITY CALL TO PACK THE HUDSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING ‼️
Time: May 14th at 4:30 PM
Place: 567 Pavonia Avenue, First Floor, Jersey City, NJ 07306
Tomorrow, the Hudson County Board of Commissioners will hold their next regular meeting. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to support our fundraiser this weekend!! Eyes on ICE has a general mutual aid fund set up, so your donations will be going towards things like groceries, hygiene products, and baby supplies. It’s such a privilege for us to be part of this community. And a thank you to @thealydukes for setting the whole thing up!!!
On April 15th, 2026, the Bayonne City Council passed a
non-binding resolution by a unanimous 5-0 vote to “not allow a data center in the entirety of Bayonne.” As of May 11th, no ordinance binding the city to that effect appears on the agenda for
the May 13th City Council meeting. NNJ DSA Ecosocialists stand firm with the community of Bayonne in demanding that the
City Council ban the construction of any data center within city limits, whether it be in the form of
redevelopment or new development.
The use of land in Bayonne for a data center must be
unequivocally forbidden.
On April 15th, dozens of Bayonne community members expressed their disapproval for the
redevelopment plan for the land currently housing the Delta Self Storage Facility at 71 New
Hook Road. This is because it was amended in December of 2025 to include data centers as an
approved use of the land with no real effort made on the part of the City Council to solicit
feedback from the community.
On May 13th @nnj.ecosoc will hold a rally outside of Bayonne City
Hall at 5:30 P.M. to hold our elected officials accountable and make our demands heard at the 6:00 P.M. City Council meeting.
‼️ COMMUNITY CALL TO PACK THE NEXT HUDSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING ‼️
On May 14th at 4:30 PM, the Hudson County Board of Commissioners will hold their next regular meeting. Pro-immigrant advocates are asking our community to come out and support the approval of $2 million towards funding for immigrant assistance that would alleviate hardship for families all over Hudson County who’ve been impacted by ICE.

It’s not just Christ Hospital ❗️Hudson Regional Health management is attacking their resident’s and fellows at other hospitals in the network’s ability to care for themselsves. Across the system, they are proposing drastic increase to resident’s health insurance costs. At Secaucus University Hospital, management is refusing to provide residents and fellows with health insurance unless they agree to their disrespectful contract offer.
Join us and @cirseiu for a job action at Bayonne Medical Center Thursday at 6PM
