Following a lively opening party this week, ‘Hubert Cecil | Roving - Travelogue with a 1935 Zeiss camera’ is on view at Olympia Auctions until Sunday 17th May (closed on Saturday).
This exhibition offers an intimate look into Cecil’s global travels in his mid-twenties, captured through the lens of a 1935 Zeiss Ikon Nettar Anastigmat 515/2 camera. The images, taken across six countries, are a testament to the artist’s curiosity, craftsmanship and dedication to capturing fleeting moments through the purity of analog photography.
Hubert comments “these photographs are windows into dreamscapes and faraway places - slivers of frozen alignment - escapist imaginaria - time travel to the eternal.”
Hubert Cecil, a graduate of the University of Manchester in Art History and Visual Studies, has become one of the most sought-after photographers in the industry. He is the Bystander photographer for Tatler, with works regularly appearing in Vogue Russia, People Magazine, GQ, Spears Magazine, and The Daily Telegraph. His commercial clients include high-profile names such as Givenchy, Giorgio Armani, Dyson, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

In our London studio, every piece begins with a conversation.
For Delaval Knight, collaboration is at the heart of the creative process. Growing up in a family of passionate art and jewellery collectors, Delaval was surrounded by objects with stories - but one memory stands out above all: playing with his grandmother’s rainbow necklace, a cascade of multi-coloured sapphires that first sparked his fascination with colour, form and craftsmanship.
Today, that early inspiration flows through every design. Known for a distinctive Art Deco sensibility, Delaval works closely with each client to create something deeply personal - balancing bold geometry, colour and elegance with the individuality of the person who will wear it.
From the first sketch to the final stone being set, the journey is shared. Ideas evolve across the table, stones are selected together, proportions refined, details reconsidered. No two pieces are ever the same, because no two stories are the same.
With a strong presence in both London and New York, our studio works with clients from around the world - but the philosophy remains constant: the most meaningful jewellery is never simply designed for someone, it’s designed with them.
Every piece begins with a story. What will yours be?

Catching up on posting a few more beautiful moments like these, taken on a balmy Summer’s evening in Dorset - the first on an 1/8th of a second shutter so trying to stay as still as a statue and all the while convinced that I’d bogged it. 🎇🎆
An olfactory evening with Xerjoff and Platform Earth chez Maison Colbert. If you’ve been to Venice recently and taken a promenade on the temporary pontoon from Fondamente Nuove, thank Petroc Sesti.
