I’m Sean, founder and creative director at @wearehooked.co ✨
I started my advertising and performance creative agency in 2022. Before this venture, I was a marketing manager for a corporate company while finishing my second degree in Psychology 🧠
During my time at the university, I completed 80% Neuroscience courses despite being a Psych major and wanted to do research so bad. I dreamt of becoming a teacher when I was a kid so it was not too far off from what I originally wanted to do 👩🏻🏫
But then COVID hit and I was forced to favor security. I got a job (the marketing job at a corporate) and this is when I decided to pursue this OTHER dream of mine, creating content for brands that I love and having the flexibility to work from anywhere ✈️
What started as a side hustle turned into a full time job for myself REALLY QUICKLY. I did not immediately leave my job but I played it smart and stayed at that corporate job to save money BEFORE I pursue this career 😮💨
I started as a social media manager, then content creator, script writer, creative strategist and now fractional creative director for a lot of big brands you’ve probably heard of 👀
Since inception, the agency has generated over half a million in revenue… I can’t even wrap my head around this and had to double check with my accountant if the number he gave me was accurate haha 🤞🏻
VERY grateful for this opportunity plus the fact that I’m typing this in NYC while waiting to board our train to the most awaited golf event of the year, the Ryder Cup ⛳️
For those of you who have seen me when I started in 2021, all the 15-18 hour work days, all the contemplation whether or not I should quit my job, all the amazing projects I’ve been part of, all the support and sweet messages from you guys— I will always cherish that ♥️
To my ever supportive fiancé, thank you for the support when I was starting my agency and the patience whenever I have to work 18 hours a day all days of the week. Ily 🫶🏻

Golf style is evolving, but are we losing the plot? ⛳️
The numbers don’t lie. Women and girls are the fastest-growing segment in the sport. Over 8 million women and girls now play on-course golf, which is a massive 46% increase since 2019. In fact, women have driven about 60% of the total growth in golf participation over the last few years. 📈
For a long time, the industry’s response to this growth was a bit lazy. We all remember the classic “shrink it and pink it” approach. Lately, however, the pendulum has swung to the other extreme. While I am all for modernizing the game and empowering women, I find myself asking: where do we draw the line?
To me, it is not about being restrictive. It is about maintaining the decorum, respect, and tradition of the sport. We can be stylish, athletic, and feminine without losing the essence of what makes golf special. It is about decorum over distractions.
