I already wrote love letters to all the women in this project, but suffice to say this was one for the books. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to see it yourself.
darling @html.zoe shapeshifting in little pools of LA morning light, in green parks and a soft and magic home where it feels like every pillow, every daily object probably comes to life and sings a song the second you turn your back.
these are all shot on my espio mini, a point and shoot i have been so careless and rough with in my travels but continues to gift me some of my favorite images. if you’re looking for a point and shoot, this could be the one 🌹
#35mm #pointandshoot #shootitwithfilm
framed panes of @html.zoe , slices of still between the stoking and ringing and buzzing it takes to get this historic space ready with @mirthmirthmirth << follow them, go to their shows, support art and support yourself by immersing in it
i don’t shoot black and white often but learn so much when i do. textures framing textures framing.
i like seeing @html.zoe center stage

i made a lamp and instead of just being proud of it as a stand-alone object i felt called to broadcast it here, on this platform, as some sort cry for public validation. apparently the compliments that i received on/around/during the lamp show - “night of illumination” - would not suffice for my greedy little self. i thought about writing something poetic in this caption. but all that came to me was a grumbling about how hard is to take photos of a lamp. since it is a light source, you fail to remember that there must be a secondary light source included in the photography process (in order to capture the top of the lamp). this lamp is named mermaid chunky because i love and miss them. pic credit to dan for taking a picture of me staring lovingly into the bulb.
For the last 4 months I’ve been developing magic motorcycle short film with @html.zoe
On Dec 12,13,14 we finally shot it!
Two neat things happened during the shoot, the first being we captured the film beautifully (and all of it 🥳) the second is we had an absolute blast doing it.
Don’t get me wrong, long days, hard work, racing the clock but the chemistry and silliness and devotion of our scrappy little crew made it easy to be on set and a little sad when it was over.
It feels like you’ve done good when you complete a project and walk away with a bunch of new friends while you’re at it.
Deeply grateful for these folks and their devotion to pursuing the vision and capturing this story.
Can’t wait to share it with the rest of yall in a handful of months!
@rexbluelovesyou snapped these crew photos!
what are you mad about? what has angered you recently? the smashing machine needs hate fuel to operate
thank y͎o͎u͎ to everyone who came to smash, and left all that “pretending to be well adjusted” at the door. imagine a life without guilt. imagine a world without shame. its okay to cry.
all proceeds from this fundraiser are going to the newest @davidnastcole production “magic moto adventure”. your rage and participation will not be forgotten. the smashing machine will always exist inside of you.
if this cathartic experience touched y͎ou deeply, or you would simply like to continue to support this short film, venmo @zoeer

here yee here yee, as i stand before you, digitally, with an announcement. [archaic as it may be] i feel that it is only right to make this declaration publicly. my humble nature does not often yield such performative actions, but i am no longer capable of containing myself. it is with great pleasure that i broadcast the following news;
i am in a loving relationship with benjamin franklin. my heart is full of pockets, and my pockets are always full. you need not be a philosopher to understand that change is the only constant. circumstances, people, places, and desires. although i cannot foresee how long one hundred pennies will be on that dollar, in this moment i am certain that is one heavy dollar.
the bathroom; a feeling of orientation. just as we are alone in the world, we are alone on the toilet. as the body is arrested by sensations, we encounter a brief lapse in the infinite tension of the distance between our needs and their satisfaction.
it will always offer a place of respite, an intermission for the actor playing a role in the stories we must believe are meaningful.
the toilet does not have to ponder what comes after responsibility. it knows what it is like to give an entire life and self to people who then leave.
