Today, I remember my father, Late Chief Taoreed Akanni Mobolaji Lawal-Akapo, Adejiyan II, the revered past Ojora of Lagos, fondly called Baba Oloye (Boda Odan).
He would have been 106 years old today, born on the 16th of May, 1920. Today also marks 33 years since he was laid to rest.
Yet, men like him never truly depart.
A father, a White Cap Chief, a legislator, a custodian of culture, and a leader whose wisdom and dignity still echo through generations.

Your legacy lives on in the traditions you upheld, the lives you touched, and the values you planted deeply within us.
Though 33 years have passed since your transition, your presence remains timeless and your memory everlasting.
Baba Oloye, we honour you today and always.
May your soul continue to rest peacefully - Amin.
Forever remembered.
Forever celebrated.
“And Allah invites to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path.”

“A mother’s prayer is one of the greatest gifts a child can inherit, and the strength of a nation is often nurtured first within the wisdom of its mothers.”
Today, I honour my delectable Olori @olorimariamlawal and all the remarkable women whose love, sacrifice, wisdom, and nurturing spirit continue to sustain our homes, preserve our values, and strengthen our communities.
Mothers are the first teachers of character, compassion, discipline, and faith. Their influence quietly shapes generations and builds the moral foundation upon which society stands.
To all mothers across Iruland, Lagos State, and Nigeria, we celebrate your immeasurable impact and pray that the Almighty grants you continued strength, peace, long life, and abundant joy.
May your homes remain blessed and your legacy continue to flourish for generations to come.
Happy Mother’s Day!

“And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect.”
Qur’an 65:2–3 (Surah At-Talaq)
On this blessed day of Jumu‘ah, we turn our hearts fully to Allah in humility and hope. May Allah forgive our shortcomings, accept our Dua, and purify our intentions. May He ease every burden we carry, grant relief to every troubled heart, and replace our worries with peace.
May Allah open for us doors of mercy, sustenance, and uncommon favor.
