Welp that’s all folks !!!
For a little over a week I’ve been in Dallas, Texas making sure we activated our members and supporters alongside @hrcdfw and @hrc_texas . It’s been incredible being in community with our partners on the ground @equalitytexas@pptexasvotes@juliejohnson@stonewalldallasdems and so many folks committed to doing the work and protecting equality.
Huge shoutout to my colleague @deondrebmoore , our Texas State Organizer, for his leadership and hard work on the ground in Dallas alongside Maria who has been putting in REAL groundwork day in and day out. They even had me out with the ballroom community making sure folks knew WHO to vote for, WHERE to vote, and how important it is to make our voices heard.
It was also so good getting to spend time with my @mell0wdia ❤️ another real champion in this fight for equality and justice.
Texas really has become my second home and I’ll definitely be back soon. Early voting starts TODAY in Dallas County so get out there and make your voice count!!!
Now it’s back to Philadelphia for me so I can cast my vote in our own congressional primary. Stay tapped in. Stay engaged. Stay loud. ✊🏾

Over the last few months, I’ve had the opportunity to be back and forth across Texas with @hrc_texas fighting for equality, mobilizing communities, and helping make sure we cross the finish line together.
Congresswoman Julie Johnson continues to be a powerful voice for LGBTQ+ communities and working families across Texas. As the first openly lesbian Congresswoman elected from the South, her leadership and visibility matter deeply especially in moments like these.
